People Express attended the annual Liberation Event, organised by South Derbyshire District Council, held on Maurice Lea Memorial Park in July.

The event, aimed at engaging local residents aged 60 plus, is an opportunity for people to find out more about what's happening in their local commuinty, get advice and enjoy the activities on the day.

The People Express marquee offered attendees the opportunity to have a go at pottery making and painting, working alongside professional artist Julia Webster.

The event attracted hundreds of local people to the park for a fantastic afternoon of music, creativity and fun!
