People Express is aware of the lack of representation at Board level of cultural organisations, including our own. When consulted on why they thought this might be young people said ‘nobody asked me’.

The project aims to introduce up to 60 young people to the role of ‘trustee’, to provide a 6 to 9 month training and support programme, to recruit young people onto project steering groups and 1 to 2 young trustees to our Board.

The project will also develop our website to be increasingly inter-active, young people friendly and to be an inspirational cultural resource.
