
A brand new project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
'The Welcome Cafe' offers fun, free, fortnightly creative supported sessions open to neurodiverse, disabled and older adults.
Last year, group members worked on a project alongside artists Ashok Mistry and Ami James to create their own digitally designed and handsewn, personalised weighted blankets, used to relieve anxiety and help to feel calm. Working towards an interactive exhibition entitled 'Snug', which the group continue to explore.
Sessions are free to attend but limited to 15 spaces per session so please book a place if you would like to attend. No experience is needed to take part.

The Swadlincote Asperger's Society is a community led committee, ran by neurodiverse adults. People Express have worked alongside the group on numerous creative projects since helping the group to form in 2015.
